Rules and Regulations
Please read the following carefully prior to the submission of your entry.

The competition is open to amateurs only.

Age to be established as at the first day of the Eisteddfod.

Repertoire.
-
​All music selected must be equal in standard to current AMEB syllabus of the grades as stated.

One piece only to be played, apart from Recitals and large Vocal Ensembles.

No repeats are to be played.
-
Repertoire played or used in any section cannot be repeated in any other section.

Time limits must be strictly adhered to. The times stated are the maximum times allowed for each item. Failure to observe time limits may result in disqualification.

Photocopies.

​Original scores (NOT Photocopies) must be used for all performances. Failure to observe this rule may result in disqualification.

All competitors must upload a copy of their performance music at the time of enrolment. Failure to observe this rule may result in disqualification.

Photocopies are for Adjudicator’s use only (permitted by APRA AMCOS\) and will not be returned.

Trophies.
-
A trophy will be awarded to the winner in each section unless there are fewer than three competitors. In such cases the adjudicator is authorised to use discretion.

FIRST PLACING - a minimum of 85 marks

SECOND PLACING - a minimum of 80 marks

The adjudicator has the right to withhold an award in any section where sufficient merit has not been displayed and the performance is not of the required standard.

If there are insufficient entries in any section, the section may be cancelled and money refunded, or two or more categories combined. No other refunds will be made.

Any protests must be made in writing within one hour of the completion of the section along with $50, which will be forfeited if the protest is deemed invalid. The decision of the adjudicator and committee in all questions and disputes is final.

No entry to, or exit from the hall will be permitted during a performance.

Although every care will be taken, the committee will not accept responsibility for accidents or for belongings left at the Eisteddfod venue.

Photography and videography is permitted for your own performance only.

All mobile phones must be switched off or set to silent.

Closing Date.

Entries must be received by the date stated on the most recent schedule.

All late entries may be charged a fee of $10 and accepted only at committee discretion

Winners' Concert.
-
​Selected winners will be invited to perform at the Winners’ Concert held at Government House Ballroom.
-
All first and second prize winners will be invited to the Winners’ Concert to receive their award.
